My Wyedean Letters.

As Entries Secretary I am the main point of contact between the competitors and the club.
I have received a lot of letters following the 2010 Wyedean some of which I have printed below.

An excellent start to the year and a fantastic event!

Apologies again for our non attendance at the awards but we both had obligations to get home to (mine being a pregnant wife).

Hopefully our apologies were passed on to the awards team.

Just a quick email to say thank you to you and your team, James and I had a great time and no snow!

We didn't realise we had come 3rd in class so was a pleasant surprise - so sorry we weren't at awards do.

I would like to says thanks for a brilliant event.

We (car 256) really enjoyed the event which was very well run.

Unfortunately, we had to leave immediately after the rally to catch a ferry. The driver needed to be home for Valentines day!

I see we finished 3rd in our class. Were we due an award? If so I hope you got our apology that we would not be present at the prize giving.

Dear Mrs Turley

This is just a quick note to say thank you for the help you gave us leading up to the Wyedean Rally.

Coming from Ireland, you will appreciate that the regulations are somewhat different and, in addition it was Karl's first stage rally.
Becuase of this, we had some minor problems at scrutineering but they were also very helpful and understood that thingsd varied from country to country. For instance, in Ireland it is obligatory to have a 4.5kg extinguisher, whereas in the UK it is 2.5kg. Also, we have to use a Hans device on stage rallies over here, but we don't need the fuel sampling device as required in the UK.

This is a somewhat long winded way of saying thanks again for the help and goodwill we experienced and for a great event.

So good to see you for a chat at finish.... what a grand event, superb in every respect a big well done to all the team.

Sorry we didnt do prize giving (our first class win so it ment a lot but got a mate to get them). I have a 16 year old collie that wanted dad home before midnight ...(she got her last walk at 4pm my manager walks her on way home) an hour early,a good run, but for the delay we would have waited .... but sorting that out was far more important....glad they are ok.

I so hope leg/knee fixing goes well and expect to see you at the moor hall ready to dance!!!
